At your job, are people using AI to create stories (Jira tickets or whatever you use)? If so, what’s your experience with that - creating them and/or completing them?
I have my own thoughts but want to hear yours first.

When the Agent can connect to Slack, GitHub, Figma etc to get enough context, tickets are well written and accurate. It doesn’t always do a good job but we can always edit it. Before AI, we had tickets with just a title that sometimes had little or no meaning
- it’s just startup fast paced rhythm and honestly it’s not fun to write down specification or docs. Coding is the most fun part.

I’m seeing a fair amount of LLM-driven story embellishment. I think our Product Owner is writing a couple of sentences and the spicy regex is running away with it. Its OK, I ask it to write test cases so it all balances out
cmo
So you’re not letting the LLM steal your fun and are doing the coding yourself and having it do the boring bits surrounding that?
webofbits
It’s hard to code line by line when you colleagues are pushing PRs with 5-7k LOC
but when things are calmer, I can write tests myself.
cmo
I see, so reviewing massive PRs is the fun part?

At least staring at code is better than starting at Linear/Jira etc

Someone needs to find the bugs

For me, the stories have seemed too long and specific. And in some cases, with an over-complicated plan.
Also, if the AI goes off the rails a bit, and if it writes multiple stories, the confusion compounds.
… but if the WidgetAggregator was a bad idea in the first place…

I think, it depends on how you instruct the agent through direct instructions or .md files. I always ask for a draft on the chat for me to review before creating or posting anything.

I also, find Figma connector very good for finding related/blocking issues etc
