Alternative to Models in Phoenix

I just finished listening to the latest Elixir Fountain podcast with Dave Thomas. It was interesting to hear - not the first time I’ve heard it - the discussion about Phoenix, and how models might not be a good thing.

Dave says “I would say models are bad” or something to that effect.

What are the alternatives to using models?

As far as I understood he meant not domain model, but active record model.
Maybe this thread will be interesting for you.

The new Phoenix 1.3 project structure will address your concerns. Keep an eye out for my Lonestar Elixir keynote where I detail the changes and design considerations when developing elixir applications.

Oh, cool! I suppose they will be uploading to Youtube in the coming days? Don’t suppose you would know what Youtube channel, if they are? (confreaks?)

You could subscribe to the atom feed on that page and be notified when there’s an update.
I use feedly for that

I think this is the link to the relevant Atom feed, which is on the home page rather than the Lonestar Elixir page: http://confreaks.tv/confreaks-videos.atom
