It’s been a couple of months since we started integrating the engine to our project.
I recognized the best approach is to build the base and then use in real project and improve the engine gradually. As there are many unknowns so it took much effort to figure out and much more effort to refactor but it’s worthy. 
I also build an admin UI to manage the workflow and run with test input
