The language itself is nothing without the ecosystem and knowledge that permeates its culture. I like to say that to truly appreciate the beauty of Erlang/OTP the engineer must have had a mid-life crisis.
Scaling is not free but a good toolchain makes the impossible possible.
Sorry, missed this. The whole quasi-turnkey build a fast line of business application parts. I have no idea if there’s room in this market for a company doing what they’re doing with Elixir, but this sort of easy to use stack would really lower the objections to using elixir and phoenix for this work.
I don’t see how you can convince someone of a thing you have absolutely no way of knowing. Are you sure Elixir will be thriving in 5 years? Based on what exactly?
