I put in another +1 for Nikola, it is basically Jekyll++, plugins for about anything, ease to theme, supports dozens of markup formats, practically designed for devs, uses Python, static-site-generator, can auto-deploy to a githhub branch or to a custom server via ssh/rsync/whatever, etc…
