Different authors present material differently, i.e. tend to provide a different perspective that may be suited to a different type of reader and also some form of repetition can be helpful in the learning process.

There is a sample chapter and an obfuscated liveview version.

The flow of the chapters of Phoenix in Action will have you building a real-time auction website step-by-step, first starting with business logic completely separate from Phoenix - and slowly adding more and more complex features and introducing Phoenix-specific functionality along the way.

When is Phoenix in Action going to be completed? I think the 12th chapter Building an API is the most important one.

I completed the drafts of the chapters a few weeks ago and have been busy with revisions over the past few weeks. We are hoping to have it go to the production department on Friday.
