Facturx - pure-Elixir Factur-X / ZUGFeRD (EN 16931 e-invoices)

Pure-Elixir toolkit for Factur-X / ZUGFeRD hybrid electronic invoices — a PDF/A-3 file with a machine-readable CII XML payload embedded inside it, used across the EU and mandatory in France from September 2026.

Every Elixir project doing this today shells out to Python’s akretion/factur-x. Facturx fills that gap, pure Elixir, no Python at runtime.

• Generate a Factur-X PDF from a struct or from ready-made CII XML
• Extract / parse a received invoice
• XSD validation — pure Elixir, in-process, :xmerl_xsd, no external tool
• Schematron (EN 16931 business rules) — opt-in, posts to a Saxon server (the rules are XSLT 2.0, which the BEAM can’t run natively)
• business_process (BT-23) and tax_due_date_type_code (BT-8) — the two fields the French e-invoicing mandate requires on top of plain EN 16931
