I just released a little spin off from Earmark as a project.
read_doc based on Dave Thomas’ code in Earmark is a tool that extracts docstrings into files according to simple markers.
The basic use case is, of course Dave’s original one, keep your README in synch with your docs.
As I found this most useful I just wanted to share.
