The future of Elixir and Phoenix

Just to go back to the original resurrective reply about how things have changed in the past 9 months: I was just thinking about the Elixir job prospect trends a few weeks ago. I went through a bunch of online discussions where the number of available Elixir jobs at the time was brought up, and compared those numbers to current job openings that I could find from corresponding sources.

Unfortunately I cannot find those specific numbers or discussions again just now, but I recall being positively surprised when I saw a year-to-year (December 2016 to December 2017) increase of Elixir jobs reach anywhere between 2x and 10x depending on the country or region. Obviously multiplying a small number by 10 doesn’t really make the number that much bigger, but it’s definitely a pleasant sign of the current trajectory and health of the language
