What happened when veteran erlangers port JS test suite to Elixir

Here follows a nice to read thread about the power of Elixir experience. I wanted to share it here because they will probably seek out for more people to help them and it seems like a good opportunity for this community to get involved.

Some context: The CouchDB people are migrating their ancient JS test suite of their HTTP layer to Elixir. The results seem outstanding on the experience currently.

I could not see anything in the thread comparing the power of elixir to the power of erlang, why choosing one of them would be better than choosing the other. At the low-level they are the same as they are in building systems.

Reading the thread I got the impression that one of the main advantages listed was tooling and ExUnit in particular.

Anyway, this is very interesting!

Ah, I was thinking more at the language level. But it is an interesting thread.
