Anybody got good recommendations for a mouse that is:
- Wired but might have a wireless variant? Or ideally, becomes a wired mouse when plugged in like my favorite Logitech G900 is?
- Not needing software, or the software is 100% open and can be used on Linux as well?
- Obviously of high quality, durable and precise?
I love my two G900s to bits but it’s very obvious their algorithm to have smoother scrolling and etc. tricks that they do Windows are not well utilized on macOS so I am basically having an expensive mouse that I can never use to its full potential.
Furthermore, Logitech’s software for mice just gets worse with time. I ended up uninstalling it from my macOS, it was regularly consuming more CPU than it should and regularly had trouble updating itself and then it refuses to load / run after update (which happens to this day fairly regularly on my Windows machine).
So it seems it’s time to part ways with Logitech. Especially after their CEO dropped this gem.
