Looks promising. I’d consider it seriously. Recently getting very unhappy with my CODE keyboard. Sadly they turned out to be pretty average.

I use a Kinesis Freestyle Pro with Cherry Silent Red switches, tent kit, and pro palm supports. I also have an Ergodox EZ Shine, which is a great keyboard, but I plan to sell it. It works on QMK (https://qmk.fm) so that it can be customised at every level: for example I moved the modificators to the home row (if I press S, it prints S, but if I keep pressed S it become SHIFT).

You only have the Shine variant and not the Glow, correct? I am pondering buying the Glow for like a year now but I can’t make myself dedicating who knows how many weekends to fine-tune it to work exactly like I want.
I do have some small pains in shoulders and neck and in the upper back due to sometimes forgetting proper pose but it has been tolerable, and lately I have been able to reduce and eliminate them completely with the right exercises. So the ErgoDox Ez Glow, while it sounds really awesome to me, also sounds like a lot of work… And a cognitive dissonance when you inevitably have to type on a normal keyboard on a laptop eventually.

I use a Leopold FC750R PD Mechanical Keyboard (Cherry MX Brown Double Shot PBT) in the Grey-Blue color configuration. It is a TKL size, but I have been looking to go 60%, we will see with time.

Correct, mine is a Shine. I got the blank, sculpted keycaps so the Glow wouldn’t have worked with them. There are a ton of people that swear by the Ergodox. If I could have been on it all the time, it would have been fine. I have the travel case and considered just taking it everywhere.
I just found that I value continuity above all else. There is no adjustment for me from a Kinesis Freestyle Pro when switching to my laptop keyboard. It’s mechanical, split, tentable, with integrated wrist rests, quiet, and has a standard layout. Pretty much checks all the boxes for me.

I find that surprising since your keyboard is pretty far from standard with 3 columns (in total) of keys on the side of what normal keyboards have as their leftmost or rightmost limit. I am guessing it’s a smaller cognitive shock and you got used to the switch.

My concept of “standard” is really a MacBook keyboard. I don’t use the leftmost two columns or the rightmost column so it doesn’t feel any different to me.
I map caps lock to esc on all my keyboards. The only difference beyond that is the placement of the Fn key, but I rarely use that.
I know some people have an issue adjusting to the split as they might typically hit “b” or “y” with a finger on the other hand. Luckily, I did not have that issue.
