Feels like it’s been an eternity since I updated this but I see it’s only been a few months 
Excited to announce family and business plans are now live on Mosslet along with a redesigned dashboard/profile experience (the previous design was pretty tough).
This milestone also marks shifting to Elixir 1.20.2/Erlang 29.0.2 and finally addressing all the new warnings

I’ve always felt it was important to add both family and business plans.
As a parent, paying for a privacy-first service (like email or something) and not having the ability to pay one-price to provide that privacy to my whole family was a dealbreaker for me. Additonally, noone wants their kids on Big Tech social media — and no one wants to encourage surveillance of your loved ones. So the idea there was consent-based guardianship that is pausable by either side and the managed member can always see if something they’re about to share is viewable by the designated guardian member (and your journal is always private to only you — not even the guardian). I felt this struck a good balance between keeping a protective watch over your loved one and controlling them — and it requires some coordination and communication between family members in real life (the managed member has to accept the guardianship request).
For business, I felt that surely some companies and organizations would want a social-esque environment to work in without another company looking over their shoulder. And that’s exactly what Mosslet Business provides. And members can either remain private to each other throughout the rest of Mosslet or connect personally outside of the organization as well. We facilitate both while maintaining the boundary and privacy of individual and organization.
So what’s next?
Customer-facing features aside, I’m currently working on zero-knowledge post quantum key-transparency (this is not intended to imply that I’m rolling my own crypto primitives — no no). While it seems unlikely that our server is compromised and fake public keys distributed, in my experience it’s a very small group of people who aren’t addicted to Big Tech social media… so we’re a microscopic target (they’re too good at what they do), it’s an area that we can harden against for the future.
To my knowledge, existing key-transparency logs are only classically protected (which makes sense since pq work is still at a research stage, like post-quantum verifiable random functions), so it felt worth pursuing. At the very least we’ll harden Mosslet even more than it currently is, and hopefully make it easier for other developers to do similarly for their projects — I’m planning open-source libraries similar to our metamorphic-crypto and Elixir NIF metamorphic_crypto libraries.
