Recompilation in development mode causes a lot of issues with module references. Do you have dependencies that cause your
Repo
to recompile frequently? Does anything show up for it in
xref
?

All
Repo
calls are wrapped by
Oban.Repo
, which supports Ecto’s dynamic repos. Maybe you can try setting
get_dynamic_repo
and have it return a static repo?

We’ve ran into the same issue today in
dev
mode after updating to Elixir 1.19

How I can replicate:

Have
live_reload
setup

Run
iex -S mix

Open Phoenix app locally, in our case
http://localhost:4000

Close
iex -S mix

Run
iex -S mix

As soon as the application finishes initialisation get an additional
Compiling 742 files (.ex)

Get an enormous stacktrace.

As soon as we disable
live_reload
, the problem disappears.
