Did you find a solution for this? We’re getting exactly the same error & crash after anything is recompiled.

Sadly no solution. We don’t see it as often now but it still happens from time to time. Haven’t gotten further on theories either sadly

Hi, did you find any workaround for this issue? Hot-code reloading has become a nightmare for me, the application sometimes crashes on every file modification. I’m using Oban with SQLite. Crashes happen in dev, not in prod.

Sadly I haven’t found a fix that solves the problem but I’ve started seeing it way more seldomly lately. I don’t know why however 
. But seeing as it became better for us, we haven’t looked further into it

Recompilation in development mode causes a lot of issues with module references. Do you have dependencies that cause your Repo to recompile frequently? Does anything show up for it in xref?
All Repo calls are wrapped by Oban.Repo, which supports Ecto’s dynamic repos. Maybe you can try setting get_dynamic_repo and have it return a static repo?

repo: MyApp.Repo,
get_dynamic_repo: fn -> MyApp.Repo end,

We’ve ran into the same issue today in dev mode after updating to Elixir 1.19
How I can replicate:
- Have
live_reloadsetup - Run
iex -S mix - Open Phoenix app locally, in our case
http://localhost:4000 - Close
iex -S mix - Run
iex -S mix - As soon as the application finishes initialisation get an additional
Compiling 742 files (.ex) - Get an enormous stacktrace.
As soon as we disable live_reload, the problem disappears.

We’re also just now getting this immediately after the Elixir 1.19 upgrade. Disabling live_reload resolves it, and disabling Oban in development resolves it as well, though of course we’d prefer to have both running.
FWIW adding the get_dynamic_repo config mentioned above did not change the behavior.

Maybe one of you (@nicanor, @stevegrossi) that are having this problem on Elixir 1.19 have a public project or some small example that could replicate this?
