I’m not so worried about today, but in 3-5 years when the cognitive decline has really hit and we’re all in a complete “nobody knows anything and nothing works” world.
I use Opus very frequently, I review everything, but I have never felt dumber. I don’t like confusing learning with understanding, it’s not the same thing. I understand the very advanced SQL queries I see be generated, I haven’t learnt a single thing by understanding them though.

Does it matter? Not likely, software in general is in an all time low in my opinion and will probably just continue getting worse. Nobody (as in the amount of people that matters) care, and haven’t since long before LLM’s.
