Yep, I can see AI being used for more malicious purposes with human involvement. But the idea of “self-improving” AI looks extremely far-fetched and marketing-driven, without some massive breakthrough.
I constantly feel that too. Not only do I not understand the “vibed” codebase, but I don’t have a cognitive or emotional connection with the project. Everything is built as some temporary throwaway. Makes it easier to just disengage, because I haven’t really invested anything.
I believe investing time into creating something from nothing is a beautiful, spiritual thing… and to have that taken away? It’s scary.
