Thats great, @jamesaspinwall, but in your opening statements, your bot is recommending removing Synapse, which is unwarranted. It does it not just once; it does it 4 times in the first post. Then says Pro isn’t justified without even testing it.

I don’t agree and take umbrage at the approach.

All feedback is welcome; I appreciate what it has found, and I have fixed and turned around all of the changes in 48 hours, and I think I have genuinely improved the ask_synapse method to be more useful to the LLMs and help them discover what Synapse can do when they get things wrong, but recommending that people do not use it is uncouth.

I have said it before, I believe Synapse genuinely helps LLM agents perform better, with more accurate context on your code than its default methods. Im proud that I have written it in 100% Elixir, proving it is not only a very very capable language coupled with BEAM but its also just as capable at running AI models in raw Elixir and no Python. I honestly thought the community would like to see and hopefully promote Elixir tools in the wild.

This reminds me of early days of chatgpt when some people believed they somehow awoken their chatgpt (“awoken” as in “made in sentient”), so these weirdos created forums and maintained dialogs where their version of chatgpt was chatting with the other version of chatgpt and these people were just copy-pasting these responses back and forth.
