Veteran TACP in the U.S. Air Force. Began learning how to code on my last deployment and to my surprise fell in love with it. Two years later I left the military in order to pursue a career in something I didn't know that I could enjoy this much.

I am always open to working with others and will help out as much as possible when I can. Solving problems for others using code is one of the most satisfying feeling in the world, especially when it alleviates some pain.

I attended Dev Bootcamp in 2015 and learned Ruby on Rails. I spent about two years focusing on OOP, especially in Ruby.

When Phoenix 1.2 was released I read an article about Elixir and it peaked my interest. I had never really considered working with a FP language up until then because of my experience from others that went to Dev Bootcamp. I knew quite a few people that would learn fundamentals of every language they could, but never advanced their learning. I wanted to focus on a small set of tools I could learn to do anything with.

When Phoenix 1.3 was released I was in a position to create a new project and I haven't look back since.
