Former physics-/chemistry-student gone CS and programmer. Developed a love for functional programming and an interest in Erlang, but ended up as a sysadmin at my old University. Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with several old systems, that are hard to maintain and even harder to update. Part of me wants to reimplement some old services using only (mostly) Elixir/Phoenix rather than the mess of things, that we have now. Part of me says no, but there’s little harm in learning something new, i guess.
