Custom Nerves system config for vintage_net_mobile?

Does anyone have a working nerves system image for a Huawei E3372 cell modem?

I’ve tried building a custom system for the rpi0, and following everything in the instructions, and even adding a few kernel configs that seemed, relevant, but still don’t have anything new show up when I connect the cell modem, nothing in /dev, nothing in ifconfig.

Any ideas?

Just for future reference, the E3372h-153, which is what I have, differs from the plain E3372, in that it no longer uses CDC-NCM but an ECM interface, and though it can expose the CDC-NCM mode, I was not successful in getting it going.

In the ECM mode, it seems to provide a captive network, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to get through to the internet, yet.

As a further happy update, I had a dud E3372h-510, but the principle was sound. After a modeswitch, VintageNetEthernet worked nicely.
