Job title: Senior Software Engineer
Job description:

As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for developing the core backend applications and integrations with third-party partners. The ideal candidate will have full-stack experience in a startup environment and the desire to take a lead role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain backend of the web applications.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party partners.
• Collaborate with team on database design and administration.
• Collaborate with team on infrastructure design and administration.
• Optimize applications for maximum reliability, speed and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in software engineering and systems administration.

Salary range: TBD salary + options. You are our first engineering team hire.

Qualifications or experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally with Elixir, Erlang or other functional programming language, or a strong desire and capability to learn quickly.
• Experience with data design and optimization.
• Experience working with APIs
• Experience integrating software with other organizations.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
• Experience with front-end technologies
• Experience in Linux systems administration and cloud ops.
• Experience in PostgreSQL database design and administration

What the successful job applicant will be working on:

Working on our core Elixir app and integrating with external partners. Helping out with database and ops planning as we’re figuring things out.
