"erl.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

I know that there is another person who already asked for help on this but the thread was hardly expanded upon and I have already tried the one solution in the thread. Elixir has been working fine on my system until today when I tried to update the version for the first time and once I have it updated all of a sudden this seems to be the only message I get when using the command line. “erl.exe”’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file. I am on windows and don’t have the resources this second to splurge for a mac (I know asdf is on mac and Linux and would have probably not broken the version update).

So I ask the mighty elixir gods, please help me out.

Update PATH for your Erlang installation in Environment Variables. The version number probably changed.

That’s what it was it was the erts bin that wasn’t in the path I was only messing with the erlang and elixir bin. Thank you so much, you are awesome.
