Exciting things cooking up for Phoenix 1.7

Now that rc-0 is out -I think 2 weeks for rc-1 and then another 2 weeks for final 1.7 to be out.
Thanks @chrismccord, @josevalim and countless other contributors which made this release happen.

It seems that two months have now passed without 1.7 being made final. I suppose there is some holdup?

I don’t think there is a holdup… you can watch the commits, PRs, and discussions in the relevant repos and see what’s going on daily and it’s very exciting!

A lot of quality-of-life improvements are being committed last few weeks. v1.7 is a major upgrade (if not for semver compliance they may have named it v2.0) which have required many docs/guides updates to keep them excellent. These repos are extremely well maintained and this extra time also allows testers to uncover issues to be fixed before final release.

You can start a new project with the latest RC which works very well, report or PR any issues you find, then merge any changes into your project later once it goes final.
