The „official“ elixir docker images were maintained by someone of the community way before hex started building docker images. Nowadays they‘re probably maintained (by the EEF nowadays) mostly for „these are called official“. It‘s hard to switch out stuff like that.

Relatable, but since SSL / TLS are apparently difficult to get right (or consistent between OTP versions) then I’d stay on the latest. But maybe not upgrade immediately to patch versions once you have your stuff working, yeah.
