Doesn’t include the BEAM, but it includes a variety of languages that a packet routing engine was built in to test their throughput, written in the (mostly, except when efficiency concerns get in the way) usual way to write in those languages, interesting and short to look at if anyone else finds it interesting:

The best way to start an Elixir/Erlang implementation is to look at the ixy.py implementation that
also features a VirtIO driver for easy testing in VMs with Vagrant
