MacOS Catalina is very buggy! (installer crash, (Spanish) keyboard bugs, Fast User Switching = 15 seconds! … ).
Apple is changing the way it tests software
It’s never too late!

For me, downgrading Command line tools for xcode to 11.3.1 fixed the issue. It was one of the recommended workarounds on this github issue
Off topic but think this may be my last MacBook unfortunately :-(. So so many issue similar to this with Catalina…
Back to Linux after this one!
