Nerves Livebook is probably the fastest way to try out Elixir on devices like Raspberry Pis, Beaglebones and more. No compilation needed. Download the appropriate firmware image for your board, write it to a MicroSD card or similar, and boot. Access Livebook over a USB cable, WiFi, or wired Ethernet depending on your device. Notebooks run directly on the device.
