Hi! We can now discover the most liked Livebook notebooks: notes.club/top

Do you find it useful? Would you like to see anything else on Notesclub? Maybe the most liked notebooks for each hex package?

Hello everyone,

We have a few new features:

  • The top notebooks are now determined by the most stars on GitHub instead of the most claps. We rely on fetching notebooks directly from GitHub1 to display them, so using GitHub stars felt like a more aligned and standardized metric. Each GitHub account can give only one star per notebook, unlike claps, which had no limit. Feel free to star your favourite notebooks to help others discover them!
  • Added icons to share notebooks to Bluesky and X. Thanks again to @FabriDamazio for the “Share to Bluesky” PR!
  • Added related notebooks at the bottom of the notebook pages.

What features would you like to see on NotesClub?

  • Bluesky/X account that shares a few starred new Livebook notebooks once or a few times a day
  • Weekly newsletter with new notebooks
  • Monthly newsletter with new notebooks
  • Most starred notebook/hex package/user of every month
  • Full text search
  • Permalinks to cells
  • Being able to change the order of hex packages’ notebooks to the most starred
  • Comments under each notebook
  • Table of contents sidebar

By the way, notesclub is open source and is looking for volunteers to help contribute to the elixir community!

You can search across all shared Livebook notebooks by title, description, author, content — making it easier than ever to discover exactly what you need. Give it a try and let us know what you find!

Hey everyone, a quick update on notes.club with some new features to improve discovery!

  • :label: Tags: We’ve added tags! You can now explore topics from AI to Elixir tutorials to easily find relevant notebooks. Feel free to propose new tags here.

  • :trophy: Top notebook rankings: We’ve added AI ratings for all notebooks so you can also see the top-rated notebooks of a given Tag, Hex Package, or User. This is great for finding the best examples for a library or topic.

  • :robot: Automated social sharing: We’re now automatically sharing highly-rated notebooks on our social accounts. Follow us to see the best of the community’s work!
