We’re looking for another developer to join our small team at Steady. Our product centers around helping independent media makers.

About us

My name: Manuel Kallenbach
My position: CTO
Company name: Steady Media GmbH
Country: Germany
Company info and history:
Steady enables digital media and creatives to access a sustainable income and independence via memberships. In these times of crisis, our mission is to empower more and more publishers to make their voices heard.
The first commit in our code base is from May 2016. We’ve been happily using Elixir and Phoenix from the beginning.

About the job

Job title: Senior Full Stack Elixir Engineer

Job description: You’ll mostly work on our Phoenix app. We’ve also got a little Vue.js app, a React rich text editor, and some infrastructure tools. As our team is still small enough, everyone owns everything.

Salary range: €70,000 - €75,000

Position on remote work: Fully remote

Qualifications or experience required: At least 5 years of professional experience, including experience with Elixir and the usual suspects of web development: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL (we use PostgreSQL)

What the successful job applicant will be working on:
We’ve got a Phoenix monolith that we spend most of our effort on. Besides that, we have a smaller Vue.js app, a React rich text editor, and some infrastructure tools, mostly also written in Elixir. You would be working on all of those. As we’re a small, agile team, you would be involved in all steps of the development process. From designing the architecture to deploying and monitoring it

About the interview process
As the first step in our process, we ask some simple screening questions which are separated from your name and marked blind, in order to reduce potential unconscious bias. Look out for the questions as the first step of the application. Later on, we’ll want to get to know you and your experience better as part of the interview process and will give you time to meet people from our team.

Further info

Steady is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and is building a team accordingly. It’s also really important to us to find the very best people we possibly can for our team, regardless of their background, and to be transparent so our recruitment process is a little different.

Even if you’re not sure you have the right experience, you can always get in touch and have a chat with one of us. We’d love to hear from you.
