Company info and history:
Founded in 2021, we are a small company with currently very specialised topics regarding consulting business which involves software and tool development for our customers. Wherever possible, we introduce Elixir in the tech stack. Up until now, we do have three projects which use Elixir/Phoenix/Liveview. Our own tools will solely developed in Elixir. Legacy software uses mainly Java and also Ruby and Python for the backend and various frameworks like Angular for the frontend.

Job description:

  • Build and maintain tools, applications and/or platforms
  • Write test cases and maintain code quality
  • Understand requirements and provide solutions on how to implement them
  • Adapt specification and/or architecture when necessary
  • Support new and existing applications

Salary range:
50k - 75k EUR yearly; based on experience

Qualifications or experience required:

  • Must haves

    • Good experience in at least one programming language on mid-level, preferably Java
    • 2+ years experience in general backend development
    • A strong interest in (learning) Elixir
    • A solid understanding how web technologies and communication works
    • Mastering your operating system of choice - We mainly work with Mac
    • A desire to understand problems before solving them
    • Strong communication and documentation skills
    • A strong interest in new technologies
    • You love clean, maintainable and testable code
  • Nice-to-Have

    • Experience with Elixir
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible is a plus
    • Understanding system administration in Linux environments
    • Markdown, static site generators
    • HTML/Javascript/CSS/Tailwind experience
    • Although not used heavily, any cloud experience (AWS etc) is always appreciated

We do have locations in Germany (Halle, Ulm) and in Switzerland (Tägerwilen am Bodensee).
