Recently I went back to developing on OSX most of the time. Before that I’d bounce between Arch, Fedora, OSX and Windows (at work). I’m a *nix guy first, but OS X gives me enough flexibility to be satisfied. Right now, I’m writing Elixir in Atom and it’s working out pretty well.
Ubuntu 14.04, last month changed my notebook to desktop and installed Ubuntu 16.04… not sure that was a smart move it seems to me a little bit raw for the moment
OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 on my laptop, Ubuntu 16.04 on an Intel NUC.
Debian jessie.
Ubuntu 16.04.
Good to see lots of fellow Linux users!
Linux Mint 17.2
and sometimes Windows 10
OpenBSD, Void Linux and OS X
Debian & OSX
Xubuntu 16.04 - going strong year after year. Thought I would hate systemd
but after using it for awhile I would never go back.
Arch + KDE 5/plasma
Mac OS X, Arch Linux.
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Ok I was curious - so have quickly ran through the above and totted up as follows:
OS X - 29
Windows 10 - 6
Windows 7 - 2
Linux (50)
Arch - 12
Ubuntu - 12
Mint - 7
Debian - 6
Xubuntu - 3
Kubuntu - 2
Fedora - 2
LXLE - 1
OpenSUSE - 1
Deepen - 1
Cloud 9 - 1
Bodi - 1
Rasbian - 1
Open BSD - 1
Free BSD - 1
However these results are a bit skewed as quite often people have mentioned they use multiple OS’s (work home etc) so a poll asking what everyone’s main or preferred OS might be a better way to gauge results.
I use MacOSX 10.12 - Sierra.
I use macOS Sierra, personally. At the office, I use OS X El Capitan
Ok updated the list above
Funtoo Linux (Gentoo based) from stage 1 (if you know what I mean) with Plasma.
ArchLinux
Windows 10 Pro and Fedora 24
