0) ElixirConf US 2018 Talks List

Hey everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed ElixirConf! I know that I did. In order to facilitate and continue the discussion (especially since YouTube comments are disabled) we are going to post a new video discussion thread every day (edit: changing to 3 video discussion threads a day) so that we as the community can give some attention to each of the conference talks. However, since the keynotes will definitely get plenty of discussion we will post all of those at once.

If you don’t want to miss any of the discussion threads then you can follow the tag elixirconf2018 and set it to alert you whenever a new thread with that tag is posted. You can do this by clicking on the elixirconf2018 tag and then clicking on the button with the purple circle in the upper right (just right of the New Post/Open Draft button). If you don’t care about these discussions then you can use the same tactic to mute the threads.

If you’re itching to comment about a video and don’t want to wait until it is posted, then feel free to leave a comment in this thread and we will move it to a dedicated thread for the talk when it is posted (just please make it clear which talk you are commenting about and only discuss one talk per comment).

It looks like the videos for a couple of the talks have not yet been posted. When those videos are posted please edit this post with the new link, or let me know and I will update the post. A few of the videos are posted twice in the playlist, so from those I choose the video that is not marked as β€œunlisted” in order to consolidate views and likes of the video. Finally, there are a lot of links in this post so in case I made a mistake, please go ahead and update the link! :023:

And a big thanks to the conference organizer (Jim Freeze), the volunteers (including the ones that made it possible to post the videos so quickly!), all the sponsors and all the speakers for collectively making this all possible!
