Here’s mine from the other day:

Lol. Can you type x/m independent of anything? Surely I can’t. Like had two beers, slower. Little sleep, slower.
mudasobwa
I type faster than I think, architect, model. Writing code itself is like 5–10% of my development process. That being said, I don’t care if it’s more than 20 letters a minute.
i-n-g-m-a-r
Hahaha “I type faster than I think” this should be a fun thread.

I haven’t tried in a while. My t key is a little messed up but in 5 tries I got scores between 56 and 95, lol (~75 average).
For me, I found typing speed more useful for prompts than code. I can’t type faster than I can think and when I already know the full sentence and just want to see the output I’m thinking, “Let’s get this over with already!” Using voice is certainly an option, but not one I personally like.
mudasobwa
For me, it’s still worth it to invalidate the sentence while I type. For the same reason editors exist in the papers/magazines/publishing houses.

They’re gatekeepers right? Just kidding
To me you’re a very interesting character (off-topic, sorry about that).
Typing speed should have little to do with (mainstream) journalism (so-called).
Of course usually I’m dealing with high-level “problems”, you know, the pebcac-domain.
Still I’m not always impessed by “lower level” (even language level) prodigies just because, well.. they can’t solve my problems.

There’s something weird about that site. It starts showing red characters without any reason (no typos) whatsoever, and then it stops. Maybe it’s got something to do with the fact I’m accessing it from a browser running on an OS in VirtualBox. Dunno.
sodapopcan
…so does this keep the “I type the code by hand to help invalidate it?”

But yes, fair enough. I haven’t done much prompting lately other than for search. Definitely when I was thinking “let’s just get at this already” while coding, I was more “vibing” when I shouldn’t have been (or at least I felt I shouldn’t have been).
I noticed this too, it’s just weird UX. It means you missed a character without any indication of which. Er, well, it’s the first red character, but it’s still confusing. I do appreciate the site for deriving WPM from a single sentence as opposed making you type for a full minute like most of the ones I’ve tried in the past.
