Need help with sippet (package) - struggling to get a working example

Hello @balena ! Is the sippet package still being maintained?

The docs are a bit incomplete – I’m struggling to get a working example.

From my (admittedly limited) research, I understand that there may have once been an original sipwise/sippet from which this was forked (?), but that repo is no longer available (at least not publicly). Are there plans to add in some of the other modules from that package like Sippet.Transports and Sippet.URI (which is referenced in the docs but which doesn’t appear to exist in the package).

I’m not up to speed on the SIP protocol or the mechanics yet, but I’d be happy to help out if help is needed, I just wanted to inquire publicly to see where things were at. Thanks!

Hi @fireproofsocks I use the sippet library and it was a bit troubling getting it set up but ended up figuring out what to do. You need to ensure the Sippet.Transport.UDP and Sippet.Core is supervised, and the Sippet.Core has registered under a name i.e. your project. Then, you can begin using the Sippet Messenger and create a message then send it through Sippet.send().

Hope that helps give you an idea.
