Elixir Naija - Weekly Code Clinic, Monthly Meetups, and Friday Resource Drops

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to announce the idea of launching Elixir Nigeria, a community created to support, connect, and grow Elixir developers across Nigeria and West Africa.

Our goal is to:

Build a strong foundation of local Elixir developers

Host virtual meetups, coding sessions, and webinars

Support beginners and intermediate developers

Create opportunities for mentorship and collaboration

Promote Elixir adoption across startups and companies in Africa

I would love ideas and suggestions how can go towards the initiative, I find the language amazing and would love to grow the community.

Together, we can grow Elixir across Africa. :purple_heart::alembic:

Thank you

Uwbaunkeonye Ijeoma, Lagos, Nigeria

I just wanted to say that some years ago I had a short consulting stint with a company with predominantly African developers, men and women alike.

I loved working with them! So much energy, and they were always so positive. They were an objectively big motivation for me to sign in for the day.

Keep it up you all. You are amazing.

Amazing work! Just got into the Elixir ecosystem about 2 months ago and I’m about to launch a product built with Elixir/ Phoenix. I was thinking about how to get a Community moving just yesterday and today I find your thread.

I’ll love to join you and help build the community. How can I help?
