I wanted an MCP library for Elixir that does everything you need out of the box, so I built Sake.
Auth is usually the hard part. If your app doesn’t have OAuth, Sake brings it: drop it into your Phoenix app and MCP clients like Claude or Cursor log in with your users’ existing accounts.
If you already run OAuth (Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, ExOauth2Provider, Boruta), Sake just checks those tokens and enforces scopes.
It’s more than auth:
- the latest MCP spec and the older versions
- HTTP and stdio
- a client
- tasks
- MCP Apps,
- an in-memory test client
- OpenTelemetry
- tested against the official conformance suite
a client
