I am really excited to announce that we are starting a new remote Nerves meetup, targeting EU/EMEA timezones (but all are welcome!).
We will be meeting at 7pm CET via Zoom on the second Wednesday of each month. You can see the full schedule, register, and (eventually) see recordings of past meetups at https://nervesmeetup.eu/
We have a great lineup through the rest of the year:
October 8th: Containers on Nerves, presented by Steffen Deusch (@steffend), Phoenix core team member → Register here
November 12th: ML & Computer Vision with Nerves, by Alvise Susmel (@alvises), founder of Poeticoding → Register here
December 10th: Title to be announced, by Frank Hunleth (@fhunleth), co-author of Nerves → Register here
There’s also a shiny new BlueSky account if you’d like to get meetup reminders in your social feeds: @nervesmeetup.eu on Bluesky
I’m here to remind everyone that we have the monthly remote Nerves Meetup EU next week on Wednesday, November 12th at 19:00 CET! Everyone is welcome to join
This month, we are joined by Alvise Susmel (@alvises, author of https://poeticoding.com) to talk about running computer vision models on Nerves, using Raspberry Pi and Hailo.
Another great meetup! If you missed it, you can catch the recording on YouTube:
And don’t forget to join us next month! Frank Hunleth will be presenting “Breaking the (Boot) Cycle”, which will go over recovery from bad firmware updates, using tryboot on the various Raspberry Pi Nerves systems.
This is a reminder that our monthly meetup is tomorrow (Wednesday, December 10) at 19h CET! This month we are joined by Frank Hunleth, co-author of Nerves, to talk about his work on bad firmware updates and rolling back to previous versions using tryboot.
As usual, the meetup is remote via Zoom, and you can sign up via Luma here:
This is our last meetup of 2025, and we’ll have a special event as a thank you for everyone making the launch of this meetup a success.
Happy New Year to all! We’re kicking off 2026 with a presentation by @kevinschweikert on integrating Home Assistant and Nerves with his new Homex library. If you have interest in IoT and home automation, you definitely don’t want to miss this one!
The event is tomorrow, Wednesday January 14th. As usual, the meetup is remote via Zoom and happens at 19h CET. There’s also some time in every meetup to chat and connect with other Elixir and Nerves developers
Register via Luma below:
Also, looks like we forgot to post last month’s recording here - oops! Check out Frank’s talk on recovering from bad firmwares:
