Hello everyone,
I know this book is still in beta but It has differences from Phoenix the time its written and now, one of them is page 49 (or 64 if you don’t count the prefaces) in which lib/pento_web/templates/layout/_user_menu.html.eex does not exist, neither does the templates folder.
Does it need to be generated on demand? And how?

Hello and sorry for the late answer.
Can you tell us which Beta you use? I cannot find “lib/pento_web/templates/layout/_user_menu.html.eex” anywhere. Which chapter do you refer to?

Newer version of Phoenix does not have templates directory… nor views, which where present in version 1.6.
Now it is located in lib/…_web/components
And probably now it would be better to write a functional component for the user_menu, as they are compatible with both live and “dead” views
