Suggestions for a good LLM subscription for Elixir/Tidewave?

At the company I work, we are considering subscribing to one of the LLM providers to help us write some specific code for Elixir (mainly frontend code and unit tests).

But, there are so many different plans/providers that it is kinda confusing to choose which one is best for our needs.

Basically, we want something that is not too expensive (so, a plan like Claude Max is probably out of question) but that will have a reasonable amount of token quota and works well with Elixir code. Having support for Tidewave Web is a plus since it seems like a great product to help with LV frontend code.

Technically the Tidewave Web requirement would limit it to, AFAIK, Claude and Copilot, but I’m not sure if this means that it needs to be a plan from them directly or something like a plan from Cursor or Gemini would work, as both have the Claude model available.

Also, I saw that Gemini models support are probably the next feature that Tidewave will release, so I’m considering them as well even if they are not officially supported right now.

Any suggestions?

I’m not really on top of this stuff but I thought the Claude plans were considered to be a good deal (i.e. subsidized). Is that not the case?

I guess they only want you to use those with Claude Code, though. Would they still work with Tidewave?

I’m using both Gemini cli and Claude code with tidewave web. Gemini already works as external agent. Instructions are in the tidewave discord.

For me nothing works as good as Claude opus 4.5 but the pro plan might be gone in an hour, which is ok for hobby coding.

I use OpenAI codex cli with Tidewave and it works well too. Good amount of free tokens with the $30/mo business plan.

Haven’t tried yet but tidewave integrates with claude code. Seems to me best option. I used claude api key with tidewave. I will probably switch once I run out of tokens. 17$ + 10$ a month, that’s fair. The only limit is the time limit.
