i watched this talk and really liked it, and i think it would serve as a short nice intro to configuration in elixir
but on the other hand, i believe there is such a thing as too much flexibility, maybe for certain scales this make sense and is not that complex, but .. well, it still looks like a bit too much
and keudos to Stephanie, she did a great job .. simplifying it
