Piotr Bernad - Full Stack Product Developer (Elixir, Phoenix, React)
Name: Piotr Bernad
Location: Poznań, Poland
Remote / relocation / travel: Remote preferred. Open to relocating down the line if the collaboration is the right fit, and happy to travel when it’s useful.
Work experience: 14+ years as a fullstack engineer, working end to end from a blank repo to a deployed product with paying users. Spent over a decade at a software agency. Currently run Guntracker.pl (booking/marketplace platform, built solo, now with real paying B2B customers). I’ve worked in a lot of different setups, large product teams, solo from-scratch builds, freelance client work - but do my best work in a small team or directly with founders, where I can own something end to end.
Languages / stack and how long:
- Elixir / Phoenix / Ruby on Rails, 8 years
- React, Next.js, Vue.js - frontend, 4 years
- iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and recently React Native with Expo, 6 years
Interested in: I’m not chasing fancy problems for their own sake. I’d rather work on something real with an actual user on the other end.
Area of expertise: Fullstack product engineering with a product growth lean. Most of my work has been on two-sided products - booking platforms, marketplaces, ecommerce, logistics - so the shape of supply/demand/matching/payments is familiar. I work with a customer-first approach and iterate in short, fast cycles. I set up analytics early, watch how real users move through the product, and drive the user lifecycle (via SEO, GEO, paid ads, social media, proper onboarding, converting landing pages, optimizing signup flows) or just kill the features no one uses. On the code side I care about doing it properly: solid architecture, established patterns, and modeling domains the way they actually work (DDD-style) instead of forcing generic CRUD onto everything.

Short bio:** My clearest proof point is Guntracker.pl - a booking/marketplace platform for sport shooters I built from scratch, now with real paying B2B customers and meaningful traffic, all acquired without an outside growth team. Low ego, curious, easy to work with - if something’s wrong I’ll say so, and I’m just as happy to be told the same.
