Welcome to ElixirConf

This talk will explore the ongoing research and practical efforts to introduce typing capabilities into Elixir, focusing on the development and integration of a set-theoretic type system.

The idea is to explore the representation of these types, using Elixir maps. We’ll dive into how their construction and showcase with visual aid the implementation of intuitive concepts such as “union” and “intersection” types.

Attendees will gain insights into the inner workings of the type implementation, understand the possibilities and limitations, and develop a strong intuition for what can (or should) be represented through types.
