It would be helpful to have a list of companies worldwide that hire engineers without prior experience in Elixir. Often, it can be quite challenging for individuals to get at least one interview, especially if they have little or no professional experience. This can be frustrating for those looking to invest their time in learning Elixir, and my impression is that the Elixir ecosystem is somehow endogenous, where Elixir developers tend to swap positions among companies, making it difficult for newcomers to enter the field.

Im not a company but I often hire some folks to work on my projects with no prior experience. For Elixir I’m currently on the third person. I believe this helps even if just a bit.

Right now I’m honestly focusing on folks from Brazil North geopolitical region because historically we’ve never been really acknowledged as something other than “ah, there’s Amazon rainforest there” so I’m spending more and more efforts trying to highlight, incentivize and sponsor things that could lead to this regions growth as an eventual important place for tech at the very least in Brazil. It sounds like a foolish dream but that’s a dream of mine
