Kinga, Greater London, UK - 12 YoE Erlang on live systems, open to hybrid in London and remote

Hello

I am Kinga, originally from Hungary, currently livigng in Greater London.
Since university I have been in love with functional languages and their compactness, then a search algorithm demonstration between Java and Erlang stamped my future.
Worked at Ericsson for almost 6 years on AXD as Erlang developer, part of special project for BT and live issues during nights and weekends.

Relocated to UK due to my Erlang expertise by Vocalink, which is a financial company acquired by Mastercard providing Immediate Payment Solutions for country specific needs. Got a chance with a very high paced country specific project where being the Erlang lead delivered on-time and solved migration problems for the customer and travelled on-site to provide expertise and knowledge.

Mastercard needed a switch to Java as the product was refactored, so spent 3-4 years with microservices and connecting technologies while stepping up as a team lead and providing technical expertise and engineering steer. These years improved vastly my soft skills and upped the game in taking responsibility for my decisions and for the team.

However, I caught myself writing recursive functions several times and made me deeply miss pattern matching.

I would like to go back to my roots and explore any Erlang but I am very excited to expand to Elixir as well, which I started to self-improve and deep dive daily.

I am open to Hybrid roles in London and remote opportunities.

Linkedin, and happy to provide CV if needed

thank you for reading!
