Teaching an Elixir/Phoenix course at Bucknell University and happy to connect students to employers

Hi everyone,

I am happy to announce that I am teaching 23 students an intensive Full Stack Web Development course here at Bucknell University, Pennsylvania. Spring 2025 is the first semester and the University has approved the course to continue until at least Spring 2027.

Here is a one-page overview of the course proposal including topics.

Here is a link to the course website including syllabus, topics, and instructional videos. The website has been developed completely with Phoenix/Elixir!
You can look through the lecture assignments and you will find my seniors are learning pretty advanced stuff!

Why am I posting this?
I am happy to help connecting some of my bright, job-seeking graduates to Junior Elixir Developer positions. I genuinely believe this could be a win-win for both job seekers and providers. If you have any opportunties, I am happy to refer some of my best students who indicated interest to enter the workforce in this type of carreer.

On a side note, I am available for team training and consulting in matters of Ecto, LiveView, and project scaling and deployment.

Best,
Alexander Fuchsberger

Hi @Sathras, this is cool! Coincidentally, I was at Bucknell just a few weeks ago. We are a robotics company out of Pittsburgh and are using Phoenix for a decently sophisticated fleet management system.

I’m happy to see more folks in the area using it!
