Earlier this year, a group of Elixir Contributors had an idea: organize Elixir meetups all around the globe at the same time. Software Mansion brought that idea to life. We gathered a group of Elixir enthusiasts and created Global Elixir Meetups – an event dedicated to reigniting Elixir meetups around the world! You can either join one of the meetups listed on globalelixirmeetups.com, or, if you don’t see a GEM near you – host your own! Pizza is on us

There’s a “Want to host your own GEM?” section on the website.
I know, thats why I am summoning the 2 main organizers. I do not know whether we can stream, or whether the room is available during the week, etc.
I can not host a GEM in my backyard…
Ah, sorry. I totally misunderstood this for a question asking if a meetup would be allowed to join in in the first place.

Today’s GEM highlight is the Boston session: Objectifying Elixir - Probably a bad idea by @ Brian Cardarella, CEO at DockYard!
While exploring the development of a new DOM implementation built on top of GenServer's I found the need to implement certain parts of a OOP model in Elixir. We'll discuss that use case and maybe even debate the merits of this solution. The libraries discussed will be Inherit, GenObject, GenGraph, and GenDOM.
