Job title: Senior Backend Engineer/ Elixir

Job description:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer in cross-functional, agile environments.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Strong proficiency in Elixir for backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with Phoenix Framework, building robust and scalable services.
  • Solid SQL skills and experience with Postgres, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in REST API design and microservices architecture within cloud environments (preferably AWS).
  • CI/CD experience (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (B2/C1) and Polish, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Kubernetes, Docker, AWS.

  • Next.js, React / Vue / Angular.

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).

  • Ability to lead technical workshops or mentor junior developers.

  • Project Experience: Drives the success of major projects or multiple concurrent projects, providing strategic technical leadership. Often consulted for expertise on high-impact decisions.

  • Technical Skills: Possesses deep expertise across multiple technical areas and the ability to drive innovation within the team. Skilled at identifying and mitigating technical risks and ensuring the robustness of solutions.

  • Responsibilities: Provides technical leadership across projects, mentors other senior developers, and shapes the team’s technical direction and practices.

    Salary range: 19,500 - 26,500 PLN net/month B2B
    Qualifications or experience required: Pre-Senior/ Senior- depending on your skills

What the successful job applicant will be working on:

  • Design and maintain server-side applications with a focus on high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate in a product trio, working closely with designers and product managers to ship impactful features.
  • Drive technical excellence by promoting best practices in code quality, security, and automated testing.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and optimize existing systems to ensure top-tier performance.
  • Stay curious – research emerging technologies and help us innovate our tech stack.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows and improving them through iteration.
  • Ability to think in systems: define specs clearly, break down plans, instrument verification, and close the loop on quality.

  2. Competency interview with Team Representatives (abt. 60 minutes)
