2026/01/28 - DC Elixir: Introducing Tele, an alternative syntax for Erlang - Washington, DC/USA

For this month, we’ll be getting an introduction to Tele from the creator Harley Swick.

Tele is a radically simplified syntax for Erlang that strips away Prolog-era punctuation and brings a modern feel. It compiles directly to pure Erlang—no new semantics, no magic—making it perfect for building libraries that work seamlessly with existing Erlang codebases.

No matter your BEAM background or experience level, come join us!

We’ll be in the upstairs meeting room at the Rockville Memorial Library. It’s near the elevator (by the bistro tables). Some of us will probably go out afterward for snacks/drinks.
