Aloha gang,

I released the Claude Agent SDK, renamed and updated for Claude Code 2.0:

Next, there’s definitely a use for a similar SDK for the Codex CLI. This one has a rust runtime! Very nice. Is anyone available to help grind on it? Project is set up, prelim technical exploration done, but needs the initial buildout. The OpenAI codex lib would thus be a dependency, since it has the rust runtime.

I’ll get to it eventually, but hoping to spawn a human agent with this prompt :smiley:

Dec 18, 2025 update: codex_sdk is up to v0.4.1

OpenAI released gpt-5.2-codex, which I used to add support for gpt-5.2-codex to the elixir codex_sdk.

Goal for 2026: Use codex_sdk to maintain codex_sdk, preferably through a 100% hands-off process. :smiley:

This is one of my less popular libraries, surprisingly. If you don’t have the $200 codex plan (and $200 claude code plan), please do take time to check them out. OpenAI and Anthropic are both amazing with elixir. Please give the SDK a whirl - I’d be stoked if someone could use it and provide any sort of constructive feedback, find bugs, etc.
